The way this current Corona virus crisis is being managed by our leadership and by our entire country – is courageous, clear, compassionate, effective. This is admirably well done, by our new prime minister, her government, all professionals involved and the spirit of community and all-inclusiveness that quite naturally is every where in this country – I truly love this about Denmark.
Yeah…the weather sucks here for somebody like me…but Im deeply thankful life brought me to live here. I´ve learned so deeply much here. Denmark has its negatives and positives…just like any other country. Starting my life in Lisbon, Portugal, it has been a mighty challenge for me too deal with so much less daylight and so much more rain and cold weather on a yearly basis than what I took for granted in my first 9 years in Lisbon many years ago.
In a lot of years recently I was challenged by how much racism influenced our former government here. But every countrys collective consciousness is showing what needs to be healed. This seems like it is part of what we all are called to look at and deal with – all over our world.
When it comes to the gifts about being in Denmark, Im really, really giving thanks for them now… There is a natural assumption that “…of course we all take care of each-other and solve things for the best of us all, together…” that is extremely up front in how the country is being led at the moment…which is very moving to be part of.
